Frequently Asked Questions
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a structured, forward-looking conversation designed to help you think more clearly, act more intentionally, and move toward what you actually want.
It's not advice.
It's not therapy.
And it's not about fixing you.
I won't tell you what to do, but I will challenge how you're thinking. Together, we'll slow down reactive decisions, question assumptions you've outgrown, and get honest about what matters now.
Coaching is a collaborative process. You bring your goals, tensions, and ambitions. I bring curiosity, pattern recognition, and steady challenge. Together, we move from analysis to action.
How is Coaching Different from Therapy?
Therapy often focuses on healing, processing the past, and addressing mental health concerns.
Coaching focuses on the present and future, exploring goals, decisions, identity shifts, transitions, and growth.
Coaching tends to be a good fit for people who aren't in a crisis, but who feel like they're at a crossroads. On paper, things look great. Internally, something feels unclear, misaligned, or unfinished.
If you're looking for treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health conditions, therapy is the right path. Coaching can be powerful alongside therapy, but it doesn't replace it.
What Happens in a Session?
Coaching sessions are focused conversations around what feels most important at that moment.
We might:
-
Untangle a career decision you've been circling for months
-
Challenge beliefs or assumptions that no longer serve you
-
Explore your core values and how they show up in your life
-
Map concrete next steps and build accountability
Sometimes we zoom out and explore the narrative you've built about your life and work.
Sometimes we zoom in and work through a specific conversation or decision.
Each session adapts to what will create the most clarity and forward movement for you.
My Approach
I blend structured thinking with honest, reflective conversation.
My background in consulting and tech trained me to think in systems, tradeoffs, and execution. My coaching training sharpened my ability to listen beneath the surface and ask questions that open up new perspectives.
Working with me, you can expect:
-
Direct but supportive feedback
-
Space to think without being rushed
-
Thoughtful questions that surface what's underneath
-
Honest reflection when something doesn't add up
Coaching with me is grounded, strategic, and focused on real progress.
Coaching is Not For Everyone
Coaching tends to work best for people who are willing to look honestly at their patterns, take responsibility for their choices, and experiment with new ways of thinking and acting.
You don't need to be in crisis. And you definitely don't need to have everything figured out.
You do need openness to reflect, question assumptions, and take meaningful action.
If you're looking for someone to give you step-by-step instructions or make decisions for you, this may not be the right fit.
If you're ready to think critically and act intentionally (with support), coaching can be powerful.
